Bayer, Johnson & Johnson Wins Boost Jeffrey Group Brazil

SÃO PAULO, July 27, 2011 – Bayer and Johnson & Johnson both awarded additional business to The Jeffrey Group, boosting the agency’s Brazil operation with a more than 50% growth rate since last year.   Johnson & Johnson gave the agency the nod to take on its OTC and Women’s Health units in addition to existing retainer relationships in Oral Care and corporate communications. Bayer CropScience expanded its current engagement with the agency to include a multiyear key customer relationship program that the agency helped develop.  The Jeffrey Group Brazil already does corporate communications work for Bayer Group  in addition to product work for Bayer HealthCare.

In making the announcement, agency COO Brian Burlingame noted that the current team of 40 professionals in São Paulo was expected to continue to expand. “In addition to the strong growth overall in the Brazilian economy, we’re starting to see increasing numbers of companies shift regional headquarters or communications teams to Brazil which is by far the largest market in the region for nearly all businesses,” he said.
